Girls Junior Varsity Volleyball drops a close one to Lansing Catholic HS School

The JV Volleyball team traveled to Lansing Catholic tonight. The girls had a slow start and dropped the first set 14-25. They fought back in the second set and won 25-16. Ionia gave up a big lead in the third set, fought back but came up short 13-15.

Leading the Bulldogs at the net was Amelia Griffith with five kills. Marley Piselli and Alli Shaw both had four kills each. Shaw put up ten assists and Izzy Gallagher added two. Piselli led the team at the service line with 13 service points and three aces. Avery Hoopough led the defense with 19 digs.

The team is now 2-1 in the conference and 13-5-3 overall. The girls will be back in action at home on October 8th at 5:00pm against Lakewood.
