The JV Volleyball team hosted a Quad tonight with Waverly, Thornapple-Kellogg and Forest Hills Central  The Bulldogs started the evening playing against Waverly and winning 25-14, 25-18.  The next opponent was Thornapple-Kellogg.  The first set was back and forth and the girls pulled out the win 25-22 and kept the momentum going winning the second set 25-14.

The last match of the evening was against Forest Hills Central. The Bulldogs came out strong and won the  first set 25-15. In the second set,the team lost their focus and gave up a big lead.  They regrouped to build some momentum at the end of the set but lost 25-16.  The third set was a battle point for point.  The girls went down 14-12 but fought back and won the set 16-14.  The girls displayed some great teamwork to pull out the win.

The Bulldogs were led at the net by Alli Shaw 19 kills followed by Amelia Griffith with 12 kills. Shaw put up 20 assists and Emma Hoppough had 14 assists.  Shaw also led at the service line with 21 aces while Ariana Frias added 5 aces. Griffith had two blocks.  Avery Hoppough had 34 digs and Frias had 19 digs. All of the girls had great contributions tonight.

The girls will be back in action on Wednesday, September 4th at 5:00pm when they will host Cedar Springs and NorthPointe Christian. The team is 5-1-2 on the season.
