The JV Volleyball team traveled to Kent City to take on Manton and Kent City. The Lady Dawgs started their night against Manton.  The girls started out slow and then found their momentum defeating Manton 25-11 and 25-12. Josie Lee led the team at the service line with seven aces, while Tessa Lemke added four. Audrey Wall led the girls at the net with six kills, Lee added five and Amelia Griffith added four.

The Lady Dawgs then faced off with Kent City who had a great defense. The games were close with Ionia pulling out the wins 25-22 for both sets. Addie Bowne, Tessa Lemke and Paislie Patterson led the team at the service line. Kylie Leonard, Amelia Griffith and Tessa Lemke led the team with four kills each while Ebony Williams added three. Paislie Patterson led the girls defensively.

The team is  5-1-2 on the season. The team will take the court at home on Thursday, September 7th at 5:00 pm against Greenville.
