The JV Volleyball team traveled to Parma Western to play in a Tri. Ionia faced off against Tecumseh first. The girls started out strong and never let up beating Tecumseh  25-16 and 25-18.  The girls then played Parma Western. They started out strong in the first set, had a little lull but was able to pull out the win 25-22. The girls relaxed in the third match and struggled to get their offense going. They suffered a tough loss 14-25. The girls regrouped before the third set. They came out.playing strong and never let.up. They took the third set 15-9 for the win.

The team was led with some strong serving from Paislie Patterson and Kylie Leonard. Patterson also led the team defensively. Tessa Lemke put up four blocks. Josie Lee led the team with nine kills and Ebony Williams and Amelia Griffith each added seven kills.

The girls are 5-1 on the season. They will be back in action on Wednesday, August 30th at 5:00 pm in Kent City for another Tri.
