Girls Junior Varsity Volleyball goes 4-4 at St. Johns Invitational

The JV volleyball team traveled to St. Johns for their season opener. The girls opened against DeWitt splitting 21-25 and 25-21. They came out strong against Lakewood defeating them 25-16, 25-11. After a break the team faced off against Portland. We struggled against Portland and lost 16-25 and 18-25. The girls regrouped and won their first match against Lansing Catholic 25-14 but fell in the second match 21-25.
The team was led by some excellent serving from both Addie Bowne and Gabbi Meyers. Both girls didn't miss any serves and had five and four aces. The team was led at the net by Josie Lee who had 14 kills.
The team will travel to Parma Western on Wednesday, August 23 with a 5:00 start.
