ST. JOHNS HIGH SCHOOL: 3
The JV Volleyball Team went to St. John's tonight to play in a quad. The Bulldogs started out playing a strong St. John's team. The games were back and forth until the last few points, when the Bulldogs fell short losing 18-25 and 20-25.
The girls regrouped and faced their next opponent Pewamo-Westphalia. It was a close match for the two teams who were pretty evenly matched. The ladies prevailed in three with scores of 24-26, 25-20 and 15-13.
The final match was against Charlotte. The Bulldogs played tough and won in two, 25-21 and 25-16.
Alexias Daugherty led the team tonight at the net and the service line. Paislie Patterson and Layla Delnay also served strong for the Bulldogs. Molly Waterman, Delnay and Margie Pischea led the team in kills.
The team returns to action on Tuesday, October 11th at Eaton Rapids at 5:00pm.
