The Ionia JV Bulldogs traveled to Grand Ledge today for their final tournament of the season. First up was Haslett. The Bulldogs started off slowly and made a few smalll errors. Haslett took the first set 23-25. Ionia knew they would have to fight back in the second set and dig deep to earn a win. Emma White, Brooklyn Fletcher, Kathryn Brown and Alexias Daugherty all had several nice kills. Addyson Roundtree and Mimose Sandborn had a few great digs. Ionia took the second set 25-8. It all came down to the final set to 15. The Dawgs battled, but couldn't find a way to win in the end and fell short 12-15 in the end. 

Next up was Portland. Ionia was feeling confident taking on their local rivals. Lilly Reams had 8 assists and 5 kills. Julia Stewart had a nice kill and was aggressive at the net. McKenna Bussell had two aces and played well on defense. Molly Waterman had a nice kill. Ella Curtin had a couple nice assists. The Bulldogs defeated Portland in two sets, 25-17 and 25-22.

Ionia was ready for their third and final challenge of the day. Fowlerville was the final opponent of the season. Kamryn Perry had a nice kill and was aggressive at the net. Kathryn Brown and Mimose Sandborn had a few nice digs. Overall the Bulldogs played well together but didn't have the energy to pull off a win. They fell short to Fowlerville in 3, 25-11, 25-20, and 13-15. 
 

The JV Dawgs have worked very hard this season and have gained a lot of knowledge and skill. I am excited to see where they go in the future as they continue to grow and persevere in their athletic careers. Let's go Bulldogs!
