The JV Bulldogs traveled to Hastings tonight and took on three opponents. First up was Hastings. Ionia started off well and despite some set backs earlier in the week, they worked great together as a team in the first set. Ionia took the first set 25-22. Hastings did not give up and the second set was a close one. Ionia fell short 23-25. Knowing they only had 15 points in the third, the Dawgs were eager to get the win. Fast feet and great communication led to the Bulldogs' victory and they took the final set 15-8. McKenna Bussell stepped it up tonight and worked hard for her team as libero. She had several nice digs and serves.

Next up was Waverly. Strong serves and aggressive play at the net led to a first set win 25-17. The Bulldogs were feeling great and had high energy heading into the second set. Molly Waterman, Emma White, and Lilly Teams all had nice kills. Ionia took the second set 25-7. 

The final opponent of the night was Belding. Mimose Sandborn and Julia Stewart served very well and led the Dawgs to victory. Ionia took the first set 25-21. Brooklyn Fletcher and Kamryn Perry were aggressive and strong at the net. Addyson Roundtree covered her team well and hustled to pick up digs  on the court. Alexias Daugherty kept the energy high and had several nice digs. Ionia won the second set 25-7. 

Overalll it was a great night for Ionia volleyball!
