Ionia JV Volleyball Dominates at Home Tournament 

Ionia took on Belding, Pewamo-Westphalia, and Portland this morning in their home tournament. The Bulldogs defeated the Belding Black Knights 3-0 in the set, and were eager to move onto their next challengers from Pewamo-Westphalia. A few small errors led to a first set loss to the Pirates. The Dawgs were down 1-0 in the match, but their determination and gritty spirit led to a comeback in the second set. Smart play and quick decision making led to a victory in set three against the Pirates. The Bulldogs were confident, realizing they were one more match away from a championship title at their home tourney. Excited to face their county rival, the Dawgs started off full steam ahead and did not let up. Ionia's hard work paid off with a 3-0 victory against the Raiders.
