Ionia took 4th place out of 10 teams today at our annual Mike Adamson Wrestling tournament. Ionia had 18 wrestlers competing today and 7 wrestlers placed in the top 4. We had 4 wrestlers take 2nd place today going 4-1 were wrestlers Jackson Gallagher at 113 lbs, Killian Campbell at 144 lbs, Hunter Barker at 150 lbs and Nate Clute at 165 lbs. We had 3  wrestlers take 4th place going 3-2 were wrestlers Jack Gardner at 132lbs, Chase Holford at 190 lbs, and Chris Smith at heavy weight. Other wrestlers finding success today going 2-3 today were Levi Scheid, Keagan Lang, and Victor Ledesma. Also getting wins on the day were wrestlers Ricky Charon, Logan Rozewski, Gabe Rogers, and Landen Steffen. 

The Ionia wrestling coaching staff would like to thank everyone for helping us run a successful tournament today!  Every year, the coaches from other teams continually tell us that it is extremely well ran and one of the best tournaments they attend during the year. This is only possible because the entire Ionia wrestling family comes together to make it happen!  Thank you to all of the individuals that volunteered their time working at tables, working in the concession stand, running bout sheets, announcing, writing on the charts, the athletic trainer, the tournament administrator, and those that helped with the set-up and cleaning up after the tournament! Also, congratulations to our wrestlers on a very good performance in our home gym.
