Ionia Varsity Volleyball loses in District Final

The Bulldogs lost in tonights District Championship game but not without a fight. The Bulldogs dominated the 1st set 25-10, Central Montcalm regrouped and took the second set 25-17. But the Lady Dawgs rallied beating the Hornets in set three 25-15. The Bulldogs fought hard but lost set four 23-25, then lost the deciding set 15-7.

The Bulldogs end the season with a record of 16-8. This is a young team with only one senior, 9 juniors and a sophomore. Although a second District Title was certainly a goal, Coach Gettys is extremely pleased with the this team's accomplishments in this crazy season.
