The Lady Dawgs continued their winning streak tonight beating St John's in 4 sets. The first set went To St John's 25-20 with Ionia starting out slow tonight, but the Dawgs kicked in gear to win the next 3 sets 25-22; 25-22 and 25-15!
Danika Fyan led in kills with 13, Tess Griffith scored 10 , Jessa Swinehart and Brynn Reams each had 7 kills and Emma Scoby put down 3. Reams blocked 5, Griffith 4 and Fyan had 3. Kassidy Casillas set up 30 kills, blocked 3 points and scored on 11 Aces! Tess Griffith and Jessa Swinehart also scored with 3 aces a piece. Paige Castillo racked up 20 digs, with Michaela Castle earning 3.
Coach Gettys is extremely pleased with the constant improvement that this team shows each contest, they always work to be better!
We are on the road Thursday for a conference game against Charlotte.
