BELDING HIGH SCHOOL: 0
Ionia Varsity Lady Dawgs swept the Belding Knights in 3 sets: 25-20; 25-19 and 25-22. Jessa Swinehart and Danika Fyan kicked up the heat with 8 kills a piece, while Brynn Reams put 6 to the floor. Emma Scoby and Tess Griffith both added 3 kills. Setter Kassidy Casillas led the offense tonight racking up 26 kill assists in just 3 sets! Paige Castillo and GraceMare Martinez were solid passers all night. Castillo tallied up 16 digs. Tess Griffith scored on 3 aces and Natalie Schafer smoked in 2. This was a great start to the season. We only had one inside practice before tonight's game and there was some miscommunication errors tonight but they were able to pull it out. Now it's back to the gym to prepare for next week's contest against Lansing Catholic on Tuesday.
