The Ionia boys varsity tennis team lost a tough match to St. John's Monday.  
Christian Miller lost at first singles 6-0,6-0.  Cole Petersen lost at second singles 6-0,6-0.  Harper Duell lost at third singles, winning the first set 6-4 then losing 4-6 and 6-10 in the third set tiebreak. Jake Whitney won at fourth singles 6-4,6-1 to stay undefeated on the season.

First doubles Jaxon Palmer and Ryan Lee lost 6-1,6-0. Second doubles Riley Yokom and Jude Gregory won 6-3,6-2. Third doubles Mason Clark and Myles Perrien lost 6-3,6-0 and fourth doubles Nolan Lundstrom and Steven Flohr lost a tough match losing in a tiebreak in the first set 7-6 and 6-4 in the second set.

In JV action, Jackson Fuller won in singles 8-2. Jackson Fuller and Sam Montgomery also won in doubles 8-1. Lucas McCoy and Owen Yokom lost two matches, losing 8-3 in the first and losing 8-5 in the second. The Bulldogs are home on Wednesday against league opponent Lansing Catholic which will also be the purple match.
