Ionia Girls Golf brings home their first win of the season

For the second away match, the Ionia Girls Golf team defeated the Lakeview Wildcats (244-250) for their first win of the season. The girls faced a few challenges while playing at Brookside Golf Course, but conquered it in the end with a new record of 1-1. Avery Haney led Ionia with a score of 55, followed by Kennedee Ward (60), Victoria Gutierrez (62), and McKenna White (67). The Varsity Bulldogs will host their first league meet at Shadow Ridge August 29 at 3:30 P.M., while the JV team will compete at Portland Country Club at 3:00 P.M.
