Today the girls traveled to Pigeon Creek Golf Course to compete in (for most) their first MHSAA Regionals. 

Avery Haney was low score with a 126, Sydney Stancil came in at 127, McKenna White came in at 130, Kenneddee Ward came in at 138 and Victoria Gutierrez came in at 157. 

Unfortunately, our season ended today. It has been a privilege and an honor Coaching these young ladies. Their parents and the school can and should be extremely proud of them for exemplifying and showing our opponents what the definition and true meaning of GRIT is. 

I've heard it said many times that losing builds character, in reality you are taught character from an early age from (parents and family) and it is reinforced (GRIT) throughout your learning years, especially through athletics. Winning (on the other hand) allows you to showcase your character by treating your opponent(s) with the respect they deserve. 

Remember the good things that came out of this season ladies, good luck to you as you move on to winter and spring sports, and keep your grades up.
