Varsity Basketball Defeats Portland on Purple Night

The Bulldogs used a strong first half (40-17) to defeat Portland 64-37 in the CAAC White Division. Miles Gregory led the balanced attack with 13 points. Lance Atkinson added 12 points. Rounding out the scoring for the Bulldogs were Max Doty with 9 points, Mason Doty 8 points, Henry Castle 6 points, Travis Tucker Jr. 5 points, Sam Eppler 4 points, Spencer Tooker 3 points, Hobbs Pinnow 2 points and Aden Wenzel 2 points.

Ionia is 14-2 on the season and 6-0 in the CAAC White Division. The Bulldogs will be on the road both Tuesday (at Alma) and Friday (at Charlotte) next week.
