Trevor Tooker hit two free throws with 6 seconds left to give Ionia a 1 point lead on their way to a 49-44 win over 15-1 Ovid-Elsie. Clay Currigan paced the attack with 14 points. Lance Atkinson finished with 9 points and Trevor Tooker added 7 points. Rounding out the scoring was Lane Thomas, Travis Tucker Jr. and Gauge McQueen with 5 points each and Miles Gregory and Caden Brownell with 2 points each.

Ionia is 14-3 on the season and will travel to Lansing Catholic on Friday.
