Ionia had its seven game losing streak snapped at home vs. Lansing Sexton on Purple Night with a 56-58 loss. Lance Atkinson paced the attack with 12 points. Travis Tucker Jr. added 9 points. Miles Gregory, Trevor Tooker and Clay Currigan each chipped in with 7 points. Gauge McQueen and Sam Eppler rounded out the scoring with 6 points each.

Ionia is 13-3 on the season and 7-2 in the CAAC white. Ionia will have two tough road games this week at Ovid-Elsie on Tuesday and at Lansing Catholic on Friday.
