Girls Bowling Out Matches the Orioles 16-14

The Ionia girls were back on their home lanes at the Ionia Bowling Alley tonight taking on the Orioles of Charlotte. The Bulldogs pulled out a close one besting the Orioles 16-14.

In team match #1 Ionia totaled 615 pins to Charlotte’s 570 pins, the Bulldogs were led by Sydney Estep’s 151 followed by Lena Cox’s 124. In match #2 Ionia totaled 593 pins to Portland’s 636 pins, the Bulldogs were led by Lena Cox’s 147 followed by Sydney Estep’s 142. Ionia won the series 1208 to 1206.

In the 2 Bakers matches the Bulldogs outscored the Orioles 279 to 267.

The varsity girls improved to 8-5 overall and 8-4 in the league. The girls will travel to Royal Scot for the CAAC Individual Tournament on Sunday.
