CHARLOTTE MIDDLE SCHOOL: 27
Tonight Ionia hosted the Orioles of Charlotte. The Bulldogs had a great night and won 36-27. Both teams in the first quarter played evenly but in the second quarter, Ionia exploded on offense and took a 28-12 lead into halftime. In the second half, Charlotte was able to cut into the lead several times but Ionia was able to hold them off. Trevor Castillo led all scorers with 18 points. Seth Peiffer and Colter Reed chipped in 6 each, Noah Castillo had 4 and Kenyon Taylor had 2 points. The Bulldogs are now 1-2. Their next game is Wednesday, November 16 at Mason.
