CHARLOTTE MIDDLE SCHOOL: 49
The Bulldogs traveled to Charlotte tonight and lost a close game 49-45. Ionia got off to a good start and scored 12 points in the first quarter and another 10 in the second. At the half, they were up 22-16. In the second half, Charlotte continued to come back and cut the lead to 1 going into the fourth. The Bulldogs fell behind by 4 and pulled within one but were unable to close the game out. Leading scorers were Colton Piercefield with 16 points and Carter Ralston with 16 points. Wolton Sandborn and Dawson Leland chipped in 4 each while Mason Braman had 3 and Nolan Hart had 2. The Bulldogs are now 3-5. Their next game is Monday, December 13 at home against Portland.
