Tonight the A-Team traveled to Portland for the first game of the season. At the end of the first half, the Bulldogs were down 1. In the second half, Portland was able to pull ahead in the last couple of minutes and beat Ionia 43-35. Leading scorers were Colt Piercefield with 18 points, Wolton Sandborn with 6 points, Carter Ralston with 4 points. The Bulldogs are 0-1. The next game is Wednesday at home against St. Johns.
