The Ionia 8th Grade Volleyball Team traveled to Charlotte tonight to face the Orioles for the second time this season. Quickly regaining service possession, Logan Thomas fired off three aces and followed up with three kills. Emma Hoppough had 6 great assists. Avery Hoppough was aggressive at the net and put down four powerful kills! Shiann Boer added three aces and the Lady Dawgs took the first set 25-12. Ready to continue their winning streak, Ionia came out fired up for set two. Thomas had an additional 6 aces and one great block! Kaya Clark added another ace and had several nice digs in back. Amelia Griffith kept swinging from the front and placed the ball well tonight. The Bulldogs took down the Orioles 25-13. Ready for their final set, Ionia came out hungry. Despite several nice serves and kills, Ionia struggled on serve receive early on and they couldn't quite come back from the point deficit despite their efforts. The Bulldogs lost the final set 17-15.
