The Ionia 8^th Grade Volleyball team took on their rivals from Lansing Catholic tonight in what was bound to be an exciting match! Logan Thomas put up an impressive 13 service points and had several nice kills as well. Kaylee Stoakes had a fantastic night behind the service line adding 6 service points in game one and 3 aces. She also had several nice digs. Kaya Clark had an incredible night as our defensive specialist, reading the ball well and getting a touch on nearly every one that came her way. Ariana Frias and Amelia Griffith were heavy hitters in the middle, each putting up some nice kills. Emma Hoppough had several excellent assists and hustled her way around the court. Shiann Boer was a nice help in serve receive and played her position well from the right side. Avery Hoppough covered her blockers well and was a smart player in the front row. Despite having a 7-8 point deficit in games two and three, the Lady Dawgs fought their way back for every point and came out on top! All of their combined efforts and communication led the Bulldogs to a 3-0 sweep over the Cougars!
