GREENVILLE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL: 1
The freshman Lady Dawgs won on the road! The Lady Dawgs went to Greenville to face the Hornets. The Lady Dawgs had very strong serves active defense and great net play for the first set. The Lady Dawgs won the first set 25-14.
In the second set the Lady Dawgs played hard, were loud and pulled together as a team. The Lady Dawgs kept the ball in play long enough to get to 25 points but was unable to pull the extra two. The Lady Dawgs lost the second set 25-27.
In the third set the Lady Dawgs were ready to win with very aggressive serves shutting down the Hornets 15-12.
Maddie Lemke lead the team with 7 aces, followed by Avelin McGuire with 5. The team overall had 20 aces and 8 kills.
The freshman Lady Dawgs will be on the road next week, playing at Charlotte 5pm, and at Saranac 5pm.
