The Freshman Lady Dogs played against the Grand Ledge Comets. The Lady Dogs started off the first set very strong and were able to put up a good fight and strong serves. Winning the first set 25-14, the Lady Dogs were excited to take on the second set. 

Entering the second set there were a lot of long volleys between the Comets and Lady Dogs, both teams had very strong defense and a lot of action on the net, although playing though the Lady Dogs fell 19-25, leading to a third set. 

The third set was a battle for points, every time the Lady Dogs would gain a point and Comets were right behind placing a point on the board. The Lady Dogs put up a good fight and the Comets fought back harder taking the third set, 12-15. 

Lilly Reams had two aces, six digs, one kill, and eight assists. 

Mimose Sandborn had three aces, one dig, one kill and one assist. 

Kathryn Brown had five aces, nine digs, and four kills. 

McKenna Bussell had six aces, and four digs. 

Kamryn Perry had three kills. 

Victoria Gutierrez had two aces, and three digs.

Victoria Banks had seven digs. 

The next game for the Freshman Lady Dogs will be at home for a Freshman Invitational.  Saturday October 24th starting at 9am, The Lady Dogs will be playing against Saranac, Lakewood, and Ovid-Elsie.
