The Ionia baseball team picks up it's 17th win of the season.  Danny McCoy pitched 6 innings giving up 1 run on 2 hits and 6 strikeouts.  Offensively Gage Flanner was 1-3, Ethan Bowen 1-3 and 2 Rbi's, Matt McCoy 1-3 and 2 Rbi's, Garrett Lee added a hit wile Carter Castillo and Kane Lundstrom both had 1 Rbi.  

Game #2 

Colt Piercefield started for Ionia pitching 1.2 innings giving up 2 runs on 2 hits, 1 walk and 1 strikeout.  Garrett Lee came in relief and pitched 2.1 innings, 0 runs, 1 walk and 4 strikeouts.  Matt McCoy pitched 1 inning, 1 run, 3 hits and 1 strikeout and Senor Sidearm (Miles Gregory) pitched the last inning giving up 1 hit.  Offensively for Ionia Ethan Bowen was 3-5 and a Rbi, Carter Castillo 2-3, Gage Flanner, 1-3, Miles Gregory 1-2 with a Rbi, Matt McCoy 1-3 and a Rbi, Tyson McDiarmid was 3-3 with 3 Rbi's, Garrett Lee went 2-4, Kolson Daugherty 1-1 with 2 Rbi's, Danny McCoy 1-2 with an Rbi, Lance Atkinson knocked in an Rbi, while Colt Piercefield got his first hit on varsity.  

Ionia is now 17-8 on the season and hosts a tournament on Saturday, May 13th.  They will play Greenville at 10:00 am, Ovid-Elsie will play Alma at 10:00 am.
