Ionia wins game #1 on a walk-off double by Garrett Lee.  With the game tied 7-7 headed to the bottom of the 7th inning, Matt McCoy led off the inning with a single, stole second base.  Kane Lundstrom then sac bunted McCoy to third base, with 1 out and McCoy at third base Garrett Lee delivered a double off of the fence to win the game.  Big win for us, especially after a couple of disappointing losses at Eaton Rapids on Tuesday.  Danny McCoy pitched 5.1 innings, 11 hits, 7 runs, 2 walks and 5 strikeouts.  Miles Gregory came on in relief and picked up the win.  Senor Sidearm picked up right where Danny McCoy finished.  Miles finished 1.2 innings, 0 runs, 1 hit and 1 walk.  Offensively Matt McCoy was 3-3, double and 2 Rbi's, Carter Castillo went 2-3, Alex Barr 2-3, Ethan Bowen 1-4 and 2 Rbi's, Garrett Lee 1-4 double and Rbi and Miles Gregory added a hit. 

Game #2 

Freshman Colt Piercefield was brought up to pitch vs Williamston, boy did he deliver.  Not only did he pick up his first win as a pitcher for the varsity team he pitched 5 innings of no hit baseball.  He pitched 5 innings, 0 runs, 0 hits, 5 walks, 2 strikeouts.  Very proud of Colt and his performance, especially against a very good team like Williamston.  Ethan Bowen led the bulldogs offensively going 2-2, 3 Rbi's and his first homerun of the season, a 3 run homerun, Lance Atkinson added a hit and an Rbi and Gage Flanner added a big sac fly and a Rbi. 

Ionia is now 9-4 on the season and will play @home vs Lansing Sexton on Tuesday April 25th.
