On a cold windy day the Bulldogs suffered two tough losses. Only giving up 2 hits all day the Bulldog bats went cold as well. Ethan Bowen got the start for Ionia, 6 innings, 3 runs, 1 hit, 6 walks and 4 strikeouts.
Alex Barr led Ionia offensively going 2-2 with 2 rbi's, Carter Castillo added a hit and a run and Matt McCoy also added a hit.
Game #2 Carter Castillo pitched another great game for Ionia. His numbers 6 innings, 1 run, 1 hit and 4 strikeouts. Ionia could only string together 4 hits. Led by Alex Barr, Ethan Bowen, Garrett Lee and Austin Currigan.
Ionia record is now 7-4 overall and will host Williamston at home on Thursday, April 20th.
