• Freshman Carter Castillo pitched Ionia HS Bulldogs to victory. Castillo surrendered one run on one hit over seven innings, striking out eight.
• #21 took the loss for Ovid-Elsie. The hurler allowed eight hits and eight runs over four innings, striking out one.
• Ionia HS Bulldogs racked up ten hits on the day. Bowen, Collin Palmer, and Cal Yalacki each racked up multiple hits for Ionia HS Bulldogs. Yalacki, Palmer, and Bowen each collected two hits and Kane Lundstrom added a triple to lead Ionia HS Bulldogs. Ionia HS Bulldogs was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Matthew Meyer had the most chances in the field with eight. Ionia HS Bulldogs stole 13 bases during the game as three players stole more than one. Bowen led the way with five.

• Gavin Stewart took the loss for Ionia HS Bulldogs. The hurler allowed eight hits and nine runs over three innings, striking out two.
• Cal Yalacki started the game for Ionia HS Bulldogs. The lefty allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out one and walking zero
• Yalacki, Kane Lundstrom, Tanner Gregory, Gerald Robinson, and Carter Castillo all had one hit to lead Ionia HS Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs are now 12-15 and have a busy week ahead.  They play at Lakewood on Monday and then travel to Belding on Tuesday and then finish out the week at home vs Holt on Thursday.
