• Ionia Bulldogs Varsity stayed in it until the end, but Lansing Catholic pulled away late in a 10-4 victory on Tuesday. The game was tied at four with Lansing Catholic batting in the top of the fourth when Elberson doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.
• The Ionia Bulldogs Varsity struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Lansing Catholic, giving up ten runs.
• Lansing Catholic got things started in the first inning when Gates singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
• After Lansing Catholic scored one run in the top of the second, Ionia Bulldogs Varsity answered with one of their own.
