Girls Powerlifting Finishes Tied for 11th at State Finals

The Ionia girls powerlifting team finished tied for 11th at Saturday’s Michigan High School Powerlifting State Finals in Lake Orion. Placing in their respective weight classes for Ionia were Anouk Demel 8th, Savannah Clark 5th, and Zoe Hensley took 1st place earning an individual state championship. Zoe also set a new state record with a squat of 295lbs. All 7 of our state qualifying lifters set personal records on the day.
