The Ionia girls sent their seniors Sydney Estep, Elena Lance, and Klorissa Jarred off on a high note as they bested county foe Belding 16-14 in their final home match of the season.
In team match #1 Ionia totaled 712 pins to Belding’s 745 pins, the Bulldogs were led by Sydney Estep’s 218 followed by Lena Cox’s 141. In match #2 Ionia totaled 674 pins to Belding’s 616 pins, the Bulldogs were again led by Sydney Estep’s 171 followed by Adah Drown’s 156. Ionia won the series 1386 to 161.
In the 2 Bakers matches the Bulldogs were outscored by the Black Knights 269 to 258.

The varsity girls improved to 9-5 overall and 8-4 in the league. The girls will now begin to prepare for the MHSAA Regional team and individual tournaments next week!
