The Ionia girls varsity bowling team traveled to Royal Scot for the CAAC Individual Championship on Sunday. Each competitor bowled a six game qualifying block, after which the top sixteen scores advanced to match play consisting of two games, total pins.
Sydney Estep qualified as the 7th seed for match play advancing all the way to the final pairing on the day falling just 8 pins shy of Mason's Olyvia Molitor and finishing as runner-up out of the 60 bowlers participating.
Ionia's Lena Cox finished 23rd for the Bulldogs.

The girls will be back in action on Tuesday to take on Belding in their final regular season contest of the season.
