Girls Bowling Shuts Out Grand Ledge On Senior Night

The Ionia girls and boys bowling team recognized their 7 seniors before their final match on their home lanes at the Ionia Bowling Alley. The team finished their season with a dominating win over the Comets of Grand Ledge winning 30-0

In team match #1 Ionia totaled 646 pins to Grand Ledge’s 301 pins, the Bulldogs were led by Sydney Estep’s 168 followed by Zoey Guernsey’s 148. In match #2 Ionia totaled 721 pins to Grand Ledge’s 378 pins, the Bulldogs were led by Chloe Witter’s 199 and Zoey Guernsey’s 159. Ionia won the series 1367 to 679.

In the 2 Bakers matches the Bulldogs outscored the Comets team 203 to 119.

The varsity girls are now 11-1-1 overall and 9-1 in the league. The Bulldogs now head into the MHSAA individual and team regionals at Westgate Bowl on Thursday and Friday.
