The Ionia girls bowling team started the season with a 15-15 tie against the Saxons of Hastings on the road at the Hastings Bowl.
In team match #1 Ionia totaled 640 pins to Hasting’s 665 pins, the Bulldogs were led by Sydney Estep’s 159 and Elana Lance’s 135. In match #2 Ionia totaled 597 pins to Hasting’s 765 pins, the Bulldogs were again led by Zoey Guernsey’s 196 and Sydney Estep’s 124. Ionia lost the series 1237 to 1430.
In the 2 Bakers matches the Bulldogs outscored the Saxons 259 to 215.
