LANSING CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL: 30
The Ionia girls bowling team fell to Portland 30-0 in their first match of the season. The girls team had to bowl shorthanded with only 4 bowlers to Portland’s 5, making it difficult to keep pace. The team is still looking to add a few more girls to fill out their roster.
In the team match Ionia totaled 458 pins to Portland’s 744. The bulldogs were led by Zoey Guernsey who rolled a 139.
In the 4 Bakers matches Ionia was outscored by Portland 538-332 as Ionia was forced to take a zero in two frames each game.
