The Girls Track and Field team finished strong against some traditionally strong Division 1 and Division 2 teams in Charlotte, Friday April 30, 2021.

Team scoring was as follows: Battle Creek Lakeview 139.5, Tecumseh 119.5, East Lansing 107, Ionia 95.5, Corunna 81, Charlotte 74.5, Lansing Waverly 21, Springport 9.

The girls accumulated 12 PR's on their way to the 4th place finish.  These included 2 Pr's for Hailey Fuentes with a 3rd place finish in the 100 Meter Dash at 13.59 and a 9th place finish in the 200 (30.38), Ionia also had a  2nd place finish (and PR) in the High Jump for Tess Griffith at 4'-10".

Not PR's but other medalists included; a pair of first place finishes turned in by Brynn Reams in the Shot Put (34'-9.5") and the Discus (102'-2").  A 2nd place finish in the Pole Vault by Tess Griffith (8'-0") and  3rd place finishes by the 4 X 400 Relay team of Isabell Lopez, Avery Roundtree, Angelyn Hyde, and Maddie Hanulcick (4:42.19) and the 4 X 800 Relay team of Angelyn Hyde, Avery Roundtree, Clara Deeren, and Maddie Hanulcick (11:01.0).

The Team is in action again at home when they host a CAAC White Triple Dual Meet with Head to Head against Lansing Sexton, Portland, and Charlotte.  This meet begins with Field Events at 4:30pm, Tuesday May 4, 2021.  The Lady Dogs current Dual Meet Record is 1-1 overall and 1-0 in the CAAC White Conference.
