Results for the 2024 Central Montcalm Hornet Invitational

The Ionia Boys Track and Field team competed at the 2024 Central Montcalm Hornet Invitational on Friday April 26, 2024.  The Bulldogs tallied 12 PR’s and earned 11 medals at the meet.  As a team they finished 5th in the Green (big school division).  Following is the Event scoring and final placements for the boys side of the meet:

Medalists for Ionia were:

Myles Perrien 4th in the 200M Dash (23.65) PR

Jacob Montgomery 5th  in the 1600M Run (4:44.14) SR

Tyson Evans 7th in the 3200M Run (10:48.07) PR

Ellis Yokom 8th in the 3200M Run (10:50.50) SR

Braylon Granger 7th in the 110HH (17.21)

4 X 400 Relay [Brent Starks, Mason Clark, Tyson Evans, Jacob Montgomery] 4th (3:41.22)

4 X 800 Relay [Tyson Evans, Caleb Shortz, Ellis Yokom, Jacob Montgomery] 2nd (8:36.91)

Henry Castle 4th in the Shot Put (42’-7.25”) AND 2nd in the Discus (123’-2”)

Seth Wandel 5th in the Shot Put (41’-7”) AND 6th in the Discus (118’-2”)

Charles Frost 7th in the Discus (117’-6”)

The Bulldogs are next in action at Portland for a CAAC White Dual Wednesday May 1st.
