2024 Lakewood Invitational at Maple Valley
The Ionia Boys Track and Field Team competed in the 2024 Lakewood Invitational held at Maple Valley High School in Nashville, Michigan. The meet was held at Maple Valley due to the condition of the Lakewood facilities. The weather was beautiful with sunny skies and temperatures hovering around 60 degrees.
The Ionia Boys finished 8th out of 12 participating schools. The boys recorded a total of 8 PR’s but were unable to bring home any medals.The team used the MITCA True Team Scoring where every athlete scored points for their team based on how many opponents they finished ahead of.
