The Ionia Track and Field Teams Qualified 14 Athletes to the 2023 Play Makers Greater Lansing Honor Roll Meet. These 14 individuals competed at Lansing Waverly High School on Tuesday May 30, 2023. For the Boy’s, Jacob Montgomery finished 3rd in the 800M Dash (1:58.74) earning him a trip to the Awards Podium. Other medalists for the Ionia Boys team were: Henry Castle 5th in the Discus (135’-1”), the 4 X 800 Relay finished 7th in a time of 8:36.93 [Jacob Montgomery, Caleb Shortz, Elis Yokom, and Tyson Evans] and the 4 X 400 Relay Team finished 8th [Colyn Ciganick, Brent Starks, Tyson Evans, and Jacob Montgomery].
