The Ionia Boys Track and Field Team finished 2nd at the CAAC White Championship Meet behind a tough Charlotte team with lots of depth. The Ionia Boys earned 8 PR’s, 1 SR and medaled in 7 of 17 events. Medalists were as follows: Braylon Granger in the 110 Hurdles [16.64], Jacob Montgomery finished first in both the 400M Dash and the 800M Run with times of [4:40.74 and 2:05.57], the 4 X 400 Relay finished second with a team of Colyn Ciganick, Brent Starks, Tyson Evans, and Jacob Montgomery [3:37.79]. Ellis Yokom finished second in the 3200M Run [10:42.27] andHenry Castle finished 3rd in the Discus [132’-5”] and the 4 x 400 Relay team was third in the 4 X 800 Relay team of Jacob Montomery, Eliis Yokom, Caleb Shortz, and Tyson Evans [8:48.60].
