On Friday May 12th the Ionia Boys Track and Field team traveled to Alma to compete in the Alma Panther Track and Field Invitational. The Ionia boys finished 5th in the Large School Division. It was a great day weather wise and the boys medaled in 6 events and earned PR’s in 15 Individual events and improved on all 4 of their Relay Times.
Medalists for Ionia were as follows:
Third Place Finishes in the 4 X 800 Relay (8:28.64); JAcob Montgomery, Ellis Yokom, Caleb Starks, and Tyson Evans and the 4 X 400 Relay (3:33.85); Colyn Ciganick, Brent Starks, Tyson Evans, and Jacob Montgomery.
4th Place - Braylon Granger; 110 High Hurdles (16.96)
4th Place - Jacob Montgomery; 1600M Run (4:40.17)
4th Place - Henry Castle; Discus (134’-8”)
6th Place - Charley Frost; Discus (131’-8”)
