The Ionia Boys Track and Field team hosted a powerful Team from Charlotte losing their first dual meet of the season.  The Ionia Boys record is now 7-1 overall and 4-1 in CAAC White Division Action.  Tonight's loss puts Ionia in second place in the CAAC with one more opportunity to defeat Charlotte in the CAAC White Championship Meet hosted by Ionia on Wednesday May 24th.  The final League standings are based on 50% for the dual meet records and 50% on the team places at the CAAC Championship Meet.

     In today's meet the Ionia Boys earned 33 PR’s and 3 SR’s.  They finished first in only 4 of 17 events.  The final score of the meet was Charlotte 100 - Ionia 37. First place finishers included; Seth Wandel in the Shot Put with a throw of 42’-6”, Jacob Montgomery in the 800 with a time of 2:06.13 and the 1600M Run with a time 4:36.58. And the 4 X 400 Relay team of Colyn Ciganick, Brent Starks, Tyson Evans, and Jacob Montgomery in a time of 3:43.73.
