Ionia Track and Field hosted the 2023 Ionia Bulldog Relays on Friday April 21, 2023. The Boys finished 3rd out of 7 teams.  The team scores for the Boys side of the meet were as follows:

5. Lansing Catholic 68

6. Chippewa Hills 42

7. Grand Rapids Union 23

   The Ionia Boys medaled in 8 of the 14 events with the following relay teams:

Third Place finishes In the Pole Vault Relay by Daniel Anderson and Victor Ledesma with a total combined height of 19’-0” and the Sprint Medley team of Jonathan Anderson, Brent Starks, Scotti Kimber and Devon Reyes with a time of 2:49.22.  The boys had 5 Second Place finishes. The Shot put Relay of Henry Castle and Seth Wandel with combined throw of 78’-2”, The High Jump relay of Brent Starks and Wolton Sandborn with a combined height of 11’-0” , and on the track the 4 X 800 Relay Team of Ellis Yokom, Caleb Shortz, Jacob Montgomery, and Tyson Evans with a time of 8:43.95, the distance Medley Team of Ellis Yokom, Victor Ledesma, Tyson Evans, and Jacob Montgomery with a time of 11:52.79, and the 4 X 400 Relay team of Colyn Ciganick, Brent Starks, Tyson Evans, and Jacob Montgomery in a time of 3:37.86. The lone first place relay team was the Discus Relay team of Charles Frost and Henry Castle with a combined throw of 241’-2.5”
