Ionia Boys Track & Field Team wins the Alma Panther Invitational, Friday May 13th.

    The boys had a great afternoon and evening at Alma High School Competing in a 17 Team Invitational.  Ionia was in the Large Division and finished first with a score of 188 points ahead of Cadillac (118.55), Alma (113.6), Gaylord (110.7), Midland Bullock Creek (90.9), Newaygo (22.5), and Lansing Everett (4).

     The Ionia Boys tallied up 17 PR’s as they closed out the “Competition Phase” of the season and head into the “Championship Phase” of the season. The boys finished with a Dual Meet record of 4-1 and have one 3 of 3 Invitationals they competed in this season (Ionia, Shepherd, Alma). On Monday the non varsity athletes head to St. Johns for a JV Championship meet and the Bulldogs host the Region 13 Division 2 Regional Meet on Saturday May, 21st.  Field events begin at 10:00 am with Running Event Finals starting at 2:00pm.
