The Ionia Boys Track and Field team hosted the Bulldog Relays on Friday April 22, 2022.  The field was expanded above the normal 8 teams this year and we had 13 total teams competing.  The Bulldogs were sitting near the top going into the final event.  The final event was the Throwers COED relay where the points counted for both the boys and girls team.  The Ionia team of Charley Frost, Savannah Clark, Anouk Demel, and Brandon Grant squeaked out an 8^th place to give Ionia the team win over the other 12 teams by one point.

    In this meet all events are scored as relays, even the field events, where the top performance of each of the two athletes are added together and scored against the opposing teams. The Ionia boys showed a lot of GRIT in the rain and falling temperatures.  Their hard work at practice and meets continues to be rewarded based on their efforts.
