On Saturday June 5, 2021 8 Boys from the Ionia Track and Field team competed in the MHSAA State Finals, held at Zeeland Stadium. The Bulldogs competed in 4 events; including the 110 High Hurdles, 3200 Run, the 4 X 200 Relay and the 4 X 400 Relay.
The results were as follows:
Clay Currigan finished 10th in the 110 M Hurdles with a time of 16.46
Josiah Magley finished 15th in the 3200 M run in a time of 10:13.82
The 4 X 200 Relay team of Travis Tucker, Trevor Tooker, John Odette, and Jimmy Peabody finished 13th in a time of 1:34.06
The 4 X 400 Relay Team of Jimmy Peabody, Colyn Ciganick, John Odette, and Lukas Schafer finished 15th in a time of 3:37.26.
The State Meet marks the final Meet for the Bulldogs for the 2021 Season. The Ionia Track and Field Athletes will be recognized at the Annual Awards night on Tuesday June 8th.
