The Ionia Boys Track and Field Team qualified 12 Boys into a total of 8 events for Tuesday’s Greater Lansing Honor Roll Meet of Champions.  This Elite event was held at Lansing Waverly High School on Tuesday June 1, 2021.  There were no team scores at this meet.  The following boys Participated: Brandon Grant (Discus and Shot Put), Clay Currigan (110M Hurdles), Travis Tucker (100M Dash, 4 X 200 Relay), Josiah Magley (800M Run, 4 X 800 Relay), Trevor Tooker (4 X 200 Relay), Heath LaPointe (4 X 800 Relay), John Odette (4 X 200 Relay and 4 X 400 Relay), Jimmy Peabody (4 X 200 Relay and 4 X 400 Relay), Lukas Schafer (4 X 400 Relay), Killian Campbell (4 X 800 Relay), Jacob Montgomery (4 X 800 Relay),

4 X 400 Relay 4^th Jimmy Peabody, Colyn Ciganick, John Odette, Lukas Schafer (3:33.42).

4 X 800 Relay 4^th Josiah Magley, Killian Campbell, Heath LaPointe, Jacob Montgomery (8:15.11) a PR by 11.28 seconds.

The Boys have 8 remaining athlete who have qualified for the MHSAA State Finals on Saturday June 5, 2021.  The meet will be held at Zeeland East/West Athletic Stadium where Clay Currigan, Josiah Magley, John Odette, Jimmy Peabody, Colyn Ciganick, Lukas Schafer, Travis Tucker, and Trevor Tooker, will compete in 4 different Events; 110 Hurdles, 4 X 400, 4 X 800.  The Ionia boys will begin their competition in the meet at approximately 10:45am when Clay Currigan runs the Semi Finals for the 110 Hurdles.
